The EXterior

The exterior is decorated with 2 x hanging baskets, a washing line with his socks, braces, long johns and woolly sockson, his wellington boots turned down at the top and of course a wood pile and the inevitable bucket of carrots for the reindeer. There are also two real pine undecorated and natural potted Christmas trees.

The INTerior

The interior is dressed in a Scandinavian style but with the homeliness of Mr. Claus’s house. The heating is from a charcoal/wood octagonal grill in the centre of the house and therefore no electrical supply is required. The octagonal grill table is situated in the centre of the house around the grill with wooden benches attached to the walls for the children to sit. The benches are draped with reindeer skins and the house decorated as though it were Santa’s personal space. Hanging above the grill is Santa’s steel kettle and grill set and on the table wooden mugs, leather coffee bag, and coffee pot warmer. The lighting is provided by lanterns.

The rest of the house has Santa’s natural wooden branch/root chair, his side table with gluwien bottle and half filled glass, his binoculars, jingle bell and books. Hanging on the wall old maps of the world marked with Santa's travels, together with pictures of his reindeer. At his other side a pile of children’s letters, his books and his spectacles. Lighting is by lantern. No power supply required.

Santa’s house requires little maintenance. The red pine hexagonal structure is made of 40mm double tongue and groove logs. The roof is 20mm tongue and groove roof boards with bitumen coloured tiles. It is built on a concrete or hard core base but with removable pine decked flooring/foot rests for cleaning if necessary. The 4 windows are all double glazed to keep the heat inside and on the door there is a reindeer horn handle. Protruding from the pointed roof is a smoke stack.

This is the ultimate Santa House complete with real fire and room for 6 children at any one time plus some parents. This house is suitable in the main for outdoor use however does not preclude indoor use. Its very exterior stimulates the imagination. The hexagonal pine structure has a green felt tiled roof with a chimney, small double glazed windows and decked flooring. The house is dressed to Finnish style with reindeer skins, charcoal fire with swing kettle and wooden plates and mugs. SantaÕs tree chair sits next to his tree coffee table piled high with his address books and scrolls topped with his half moon specs and glass of gluhwein. The house itself does not require an electrical or gas supply making it ideal for outdoors.

Note: For indoor use the fire will not be lit.
